About JEE Main 2023

JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) is an engineering entrance exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission into various undergraduate engineering programs offered by IITs (Indian Institutes of Technology), NITs (National Institutes of Technology), IIITs (Indian Institutes of Information Technology), and other top engineering colleges in India.

JEE is divided into two levels: JEE Main and JEE Advanced. JEE Main is the first level and is conducted twice a year (in January and April) while JEE Advanced is the second level and is conducted once a year. Only those candidates who clear JEE Main are eligible to appear for JEE Advanced.

JEE Main comprises multiple-choice questions (MCQs) on Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, while JEE Advanced consists of both MCQs and numerical answer type questions (NAT). The JEE syllabus is based on the NCERT syllabus for classes 11th and 12th.

JEE is considered one of the toughest and most competitive exams in India, with lakhs of students appearing for it every year.

The National Testing Agency has closed the JEE Main 2023 application form session 2.  Candidates had to complete their initial registration, filling application form, documents upload, and payment of application fee under the application process. Candidates who earlier registered themselves for session 1 and paid the fees are not required to register themselves again for session but are required to pay the fees for session 2 and submit other essential details. JEE Main 2023 Eligibility Criteria

The JEE Main 2023 eligibility criteria have been released by the NTA. JEE Main eligibility criteria 2023 consists of the basic parameters for the candidates which they should satisfy in order to appear for the examination. Age Criteria

  • The candidates who are born on or after October 1, 1998 will be eligible for JEE Main 2023
  • SC/ST and PWD candidates are eligible for age relaxation of 5 years but they must be born on or after October 1st, 1993
  • 10th certificate’s date of birth will be considered

JEE Main 2023 Academic Qualification

  • The candidates must have cleared 10+2 or the equivalent exam from a very recognized board
  • Those who appeared in 12th exam in 2020 but did not clear it, are not eligible for exam again, even if they clear it later
  • PCM must be required subjects in the qualifying exam
  • Those who will appear in the qualifying exam will also get considered

JEE Main 2023 Attempts

  • The no of attempts for JEE exam is limited. If someone fails in the 1st attempt, they can take the next 2 exams
  • The candidates who are appearing for both of the session in the same academic year, is taken as 1 attempt and the best of the 2 score is used for ranking the students
